Q. What Kind Of Plastic Resins Do You Mold?

We use just about every kind of thermoplastic injection molding grade resins available in north America, like ABS, NYLON, POLYCARBONATE, PET, PBT, GLASS FILLED, UNFILLED, ENGINEERED RESINS, and LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMERS to name a few.

Q. What Material Should I Use For My Project?

That depends on the end application of the product. We will be able to guide you through the material selection process should you require assistance.

Q. How Long Does It Take To Custom-Make An Injection Mold?

Depending on the complexity of the design, it can take between six to ten weeks to manufacture a customized mold.

Q. Describe The Typical Process Of A New Project From Start To Finish?

  • Once we receive the drawing and/or CAD files, we will provide a quote for the cost of tooling as well as piece parts.
  • We will require a Purchase Order (PO) for the same.
  • Upon receiving the PO, we start the building and tooling process.
  • We then send customer the samples to the client for approval.
  • The production process begins once the parts are approved.
    *Partial shipment is also available.
Thus the entire process takes about eight to twelve week from beginning to end

Q. What Information Do You Need To Provide A Quote For My Project?

WE need the following:

  • drawing
  • CAD file
  • Estimated annual usage (EAU) parts

Q. Can You Assemble Parts, Custom Decoration, And Packaging?

We can provide custom decoration assembling and packaging.

Q. Can You Mold Around Inserts Or Metal Components?

We can do insert molding with just about any metal and non-metal components.

Q. How Do You Protect My Tooling?

You can retrieve your tooling from us or you can have Veejay Plastic maintain your tooling. We have been in the molding business for over forty years. During this time, all our customers have trusted us and as a result, most customers prefer to keep their tooling with us.

Q. What Size Parts Can You Make?

We can use micro-molding and miniature molding to produce parts. This means that we can produce parts ranging from a few milligram to 500 grams.

Q. How Do You Ensure Production Quality?

Our quality inspector checks the dimensions every two hours or as frequently as needed to ensure that the quality of the products is up to the highest standards.

Q. Can Recycled Plastics Be Used?

Certainly, we can use recycled material in any proportion, ranging from 5% to 100%.

Q. If I Have An Existing Tooling, Could You Use It To Mold My Project?

Most certainly, if existing tooling is available, we can use them.
